Payment

Adornment + Theory accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, ApplePay and PayPal.

You are required to provide the complete billing information associated with your credit card, as well as the security code.

We reserve the right to ship only to the billing address of a cardholder.

Shipping Information

CARRIERS

We use UPS as our domestic carrier, but can use FedEx or USPS if requested.

NOTE: UPS does not ship to PO Boxes. Please provide a physical address - like your house or office - in the 'ship to' portion of your order.

SIGNATURE

ALL ORDERS OVER $1000 WILL REQUIRE A SIGNATURE

INSURANCE

Everything we ship - both domestically and internationally - is completely insured by either UPS or our third party insurer.

TIMING

We do our very best to ship every in-stock item and order within 24 hours of it being placed. If a portion of your order is not currently available, we will contact you as soon as possible.

All orders placed before 2pm Monday - Friday should be shipped that day.

The arrival of your order - if shipped UPS Ground - will depend on your location, but please estimate about 3-7 business days from the day it is shipped.

UPS 2nd Day Air will arrive two business days after it is shipped.

UPS Overnight will arrive the following business day after it has been shipped.

TRACKING

If your purchase is shipped using UPS, you will receive a tracking confirmation via email once the order is on its way!

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We are happy to ship to a non-US address provided it is being sent to the billing address associated with the credit card being used. If PayPal is being used, they will do an address verification.

We charge a flat fee of $50USD for all international shipping and handling.

Our international shipping carrier depends on the insurance value and destination of the order. If you are receiving your order outside of the United States, you will be responsible for all taxes / duties incurred through the customs department of the country to which you are shipping.

It is possible for some orders to experience a delay in customs. We have no control over this and ask that you contact your local customs agency if necessary.

Returns / Exchanges / Store Credit

Adornment + Theory does not accept returns. We do offer exchanges and store credit. Please see our Return Policy page for more details.

Repairs

Our jewelry is hand-fabricated. As with any product, natural wear and tear or an accident might result in a piece of jewelry becoming damaged or broken. We urge you to send anything in this condition back to us for evaluation.

Once we look at the piece, we will determine what course of action to take. This usually means it is sent back to the studio of the artist who originally made it so it can be repaired to their specifications.

This process may take 2-8 weeks and, depending on the situation, may have an associated charge assigned by the artist.

Special Orders

Certain artists we work with are capable of various degrees of customization - this can include changes in ring size, chain length or stone choice. These types of alterations would be considered a special order. 

Special orders are non-returnable and non-refundable and require a deposit of 1/2 the total price.

These custom orders take between 2 - 8 weeks to make and depend on the production schedule of the individual artist.

Backorders

Every once in a while you may order something which appears to be in stock, but has actually sold in our store before we have had a chance to align our online inventory. When this occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible to let you know if it is something we are able to order again for you. If it is an item we regularly stock, we will simply backorder it for you and let you know when it arrives.

Sales Tax

Sales Tax will be applied to all purchases shipped within the state of Illinois.
