Adornment Weddings: Grace + Kevin

Adornment Weddings: Grace + Kevin

Q: How did you meet?

Kevin and I met at Knox College in 2007 playing ultimate frisbee. After 2 years of friendship, we decided to give the whole romance thing a try. It stuck and after 10 years together, we said, "I do."

Q: Tell us what you love about your ring (rings)?

I love my ring for its simplicity and classic style. I wear it whether I'm dressed up or down and it always matches. Who doesn't love sapphires?! Kevin's ring is custom and he loves that he doesn't have a ring like any other guy he knows. The coloring matches his engagement watch perfectly.

Q: How was the process of designing your ring?

Kevin loves input from experts when he makes a decision. Sitting down with Viviana helped him narrow his focus. She was able to take his vague ideas for the perfect ring and turn them into a reality. The whole experience was so relaxed and fun. We are frequent A & T customers and it was pretty great to finally sit at that back counter and talk custom!

Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding?

The best part of our wedding was the intimacy of it all. The 100 closest people in our life were there to celebrate our love and 10 year journey they had all been a part of. Sliding down a firepole into our first dance was also pretty spectacular!

Q: Is there anything you would have changed?

I wish it could have lasted even longer! It was perfect.

Q: Advice for couples who are planning their wedding now?

When we recessed down the aisle after the ceremony, we went straight to a little sitting room just the two of us for about 20 minutes while the guests started the cocktail hour. There was champagne and food waiting for us. Having that moment alone to bask in what just happened was so special. Having time to eat before the night got going was also very important!
