Adornment Weddings: Hayley + Matt

Adornment Weddings: Hayley + Matt

Behind the scenes of custom couple Hayley + Matt's intimate City Hall ceremony

Haley + Matt are two true originals that found one another to create one incredibly gorgeous + unique couple. Never ones to stick to convention, we simply adored their joyful spirits and style, which clearly extended to their wedding. Store owner and designer Viviana loved Hayley's ring so much that she did a version of it for her permanent collection.

How did you two meet?
Hayley:  Actually, Matt and I met on Tinder. We found out we lived a few blocks from each other and decided to have our first date at Wyler Road since it was the halfway point. Our date was filled with real conversations about real topics and even a few sentimental tears were shed. We fell for each other right away.

Tell us what you love about your rings?
I love my ring! I wasn’t sure about the process, but knew I didn’t want to pick a ring off a wall. I wanted something unique and personalized. The blue topaz reminds me of Matt’s eyes, and the vintage vibe of the ring is just perfect.  Matt loves his matte ring that is silver with a hint of gold.

How was the process of designing or purchasing your ring?
I knew I wanted big, gold, round, and definitely unique. I wasn’t sure what exact design or stone I wanted, but I knew what I didn’t want! Viviana was able to guide me through the process and put together sketches based on my ideas. Super helpful and got me really excited to have a ring I would love forever.

What was your favorite part of your wedding?
We really loved being able to do things our own way and share our love with family and friends in a way that was meaningful to us. We went to City Hall to be married and celebrated months later with a dinner with family and friends.

Is there anything you would have changed?
I wouldn’t have changed a thing! We loved the intimate city hall wedding with just a few of us there and we were able to really focus on the moment. Celebrating with family and friends at 90 mile was a time to celebrate our love with the ones we love the most. Full of laughs, sangria, and sunshine!

Any advice for couples who are planning their wedding?
Keep it simple. It’s about you and your partner. Never forget that. Make sure to have fun and always be around when dessert is served (in our case it was flan)!
