"My jewellery style has evolved over the last year into more of a conceptual jewellery designer. This pendant symbolises so much. This represents diversity and inclusion. Last summer was the 'lightbulb' moment for me- a 'switch'. This is a gender-neutral pendant. Cornrows or canerows are a traditional style of braids in which the hair is braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to make a continuous, raised row. I added three strands of cornrows around the lightbulb to highlight different hair textures and the awareness of hair discrimination. Also at the same time highlights unity - all cultures embrace braids! A braid is a complex structure or pattern formed by interlacing two or more strands of flexible material such as textile yarns, wire, or hair. "
