Five questions with blogger, podcaster, and fellow dog-lover Jena Gambaccini of ChiCityFashion, Chicago's original fashion blog.
1. Where do you find design inspiration?
JG: I always feel the most inspired when I travel-- seeing how other people / cultures dress, eat, and live. For design inspiration in particular, I love to explore the city streets to admire architecture or check out the interiors of unique stores and restaurants.
2. How would you describe your style?
JG: Casual chic.
3. What advice would you give someone who wants to get into your profession?
JG: Try not to get caught up in all the noise. There's a lot of people doing the same thing, so you have to be confident in your ability to bring your unique perspective to the table.
4. What is your personal motto?
JG: We have to get dressed and eat every day, so why not have fun with it and make it interesting?
5. And finally... do you have a favorite piece of jewelry?
JG: I'd say my favorite piece right now is a custom charm my friend got me for my birthday this year. It says "JPLLE" with a heart, which are the initials of my boyfriend and our three dogs.
